Gooooo NOBEL!!

Tuesday night, I can't sleep casue Sports Day is on Wednesday. I was worry the banners are ready, runners are not prepare, whether the weather will be nice etc

Anyway, I am so proud of the fellow NOBELLIANs (both staff & students), especially the "fighting" spirit that we have even though we started off at the last position after the pre-events.
Winning the 1st price for House Spirit & overall 2nd for Sports Day* , all of us has done our best & we are happy with the results.
* I jumped up from my seat when I hear the result, my colleagues have to remind me that I am pregnant
* Students are equally excited that my vice captain wanted to carry me to run around the track

We will work towards the Overall House Challenge 2011:) May the BEST HOUSE win!!

Surprise Visit

Today, Elaine (my ex-student, Nobel's ex-captain) came back to school even though her scheduled is so packed. She just came back from her months long missionary trip in South Africa & will be flying off tomorrow to Hong Kong to further her studies in medicine.

I am so happy for her & proud to be her teacher. At such young age, Elaine has experienced so much & see so much & contribute so much to the society. She is very clear of what she wants & continuously works towards her goal. How I hope my children is like her! In fact, I treat her like my daughter!!

Elaine, all the best!!
I will surely keep in touch with you & hope that 1 day I will be invited to your graduation, wedding ceremony etc etc.

The Perfect Name

I bet all parents have the same issue regarding naming their children. Besides having good meaning, we must also make sure that the name doesn't sounds funny if pronounce it in different language/dialect..

I used to joke to my students that I will name my kids:
1. Fan Ta Stic - testicle??
2. Fan Ta Sy - you prefer teh-si than kopi-si?
3. Fan Ta Sia - huge prawn in manadrin

So, what name should we give to our baby?

Happy Anniversary

Darling sent me a sms from Bangkok this morning, so sweet of him:)
On the other hands, I have totally forgotten that we officially tied the knot (ROM) on 20-07-2007:(

Anyway, I am so happy today because:
1. it is my wedding anniversary
2. Joseph (my colleague) has an additional family member, a daughter at noon
3. I drove Chan Lye (my colleague cum neighbour) & family to hosptial around 11pm as his wife was in labour pain. Their daughter see the world at 1am

Wonder how darling & I will react when it is my turn?!

Family is in KL
Darling is away for business
I am down with flu - high temperature, headache, bodyache, eyes sore

Luckily, I have a bunch of supportive colleagues & good "neighbours"
They accompany me to doctor, buy me breakfast, cook me dinner, call me from time to time to check on me etc:)

School Holiday = Rest??

I need to rest..
I really need to rest my body and mind...

But, why there is still so much work to complete during school holiday??
Becasue school holiday is for students not for teachers:(

Exam will be over soon..

My girls are taking their last paper - chemistry. They say this is a killing paper. Anyway, to show them my moral support & to shower them with love, I made them breakfast when they have morning paper. Also, I will be bring them to The Line, Shangri-La for lunch later!!
