HOORAY!! is term break :)
I hope my kids will get enough rest during this 1 week break although their schedule is packed with lots of activities.... not forget the comming common tests.

While for me, there is a long list of tasks to be completed before term 2 start. Thus, I won't be going back to Kuala Lumpur :( My last trip home was during Chinese New Year, hope to be back during Good Friday long weekends in April. Brother will also come home from Macau, long time didn't have dinner together, all 5 of us (also + our the other half)...

Too Clean?

It has been a super busy term for me -- teaching, administrative work, boarding duty etc etc. At this moment, I decided to take a short break (while waiting for the laundry) & update my blog.

I'm happy & glad to announce that my girls (16 of them) & I won the cleanest cluster for February:) Seriously, it brighten my day when the boarding master announced it last Sunday. We (or maybe just me, as the cluster mentor) set the target in January (after winning the cleanest room for January) & really excited that we (again, is only me) manage to achieve the goal in such a short period of them.
Thank you all for doing your part i.e. keeping the compound clean.
I'm so proud of cluster 2B...

Something terrible happened about 2 weeks ago...
My lovely & kind hubby wanted to help me with the house chores, he offered to mop the floor on one Friday night.

~ Cut the story short, go straight to the main point ~

Suddenly, I heard a loud BANG. First, my heart sank. Next, I saw darling lying on the toilet (shower area)!! His head hit the wall, so he felt dizzy, can't stand up... It took a while before he can walk to the living room & take a seat. The HUGE bump on his head is really scary, not forgetting the blue black on his knee.

At that moment, I asked myself
"Am I cleaning too often?"
"Should I employ an hourly paid helper?"
"Why should I bother hubby to do all the chores?"
"Am I the cause of this accident?"

Anyway, Thanks God that darling is alright.
I'm now more considerate as in I clean less & nag less... heehee!!

i hate FLEAS

My super sensitive skin was attacked (suspected) by cat's fleas (again*)! According to mum, it wasn't done by the mosquitoes because the wounds are like chicken pox. Since Monday, I have been soaking both my legs into a pail of salty warm tea few times a day. Hope I'll fully recover before I return to Singapore on Sunday.

* 1st & the most serious case happenned during my secondary school days. Both my younger brother & I got it all around our legs. Dr. suspected that our socks were 'contaminted' with cat's fleas. We were force to fast (only on selected food) for more than a year, we were only allow to eat pork, vegetables & a few types of fishes!! Since then, we can only wear 100% cotton socks if not we will feel itchy. Of course, we got better when time past.

* 2nd time was about a year ago, when I relocated to Singapore. My housemate has a dog where she was free to walk in & out from my room (before I move in). She likes to rest underneath our bed & sometimes even jump onto the bed! I reminded hubby about my sensitive skin & of course the dog was not allowed to enter my room from then (at least when I'm around). Sister-in-law love the dog so much & hubby didn't tell (wonder why?) his sister about my sensitive skin. Thus, the dog stil come into my room (especially when I'm not around) from time to time. Hubby & I had a few 'heaty' discussion about this, but he always claimed that she bath very often & is very cleaned. As expected, I got many water pox on my legs. I forced hubby to accompany me to see Dr. because I reckon he should listen to what the professional said about this.

Funny though, the fleas always attacked the same place....

p.s. don't get me wrong, i don't hate animals.

McFly -- All About You

It's all about you (it's about you)
It's all about you baby (it's all about)
It's all about you (it's about you)
It's all about you

Verse 1:
Yesterday you asked me something I thought you knew
So I told you with a smile, it's all about you
Then you whispered in my ear and you told me too
Said you'd make my life worthwhile, it's all about you

Chorus 1:
And I would answer all your wishes
If you ask me to
But if you deny me one of your kisses
Don't know what I'd do
So hold me close and say three words like you used to do
Dancing on the kitchen tiles, it's all about you, yeah!(Guitar solo)

Chorus 2:
And I would answer all your wishes
If you ask me to
But if you deny me one of your kisses
Don't know what I'd do
So hold me close and say three words like you used to do
Dancing on the kitchen tiles
Yes you make my life worthwhile
So I told you with a smile

It's all about you
It's all about you (it's about you)
It's all about you baby (it's all about)
It's all about you (it's about you)
It's all about you baby (it's all about)

Winter Solstice Festive

"Dong Zhi" is celebrated on the longest night of the year, the day when sunshine is weakest and daylight shortest. In my memories, "Dong Zhi" always fall on 22nd December, but I was told this year (leap year) it is on 21st December. In older day, "Dong Zhi" is more important than the Lunar Chinese New Year where family and friends put on their new clothes, gathered around to have reunion dinner :)

I am looking forward to tomorrow "Dong Zhi" as I love to eat "Tang Yuan" (glutinous rice ball served in sweet soup). Nowadays, you can get these tiny and colourful rice balls with various fillings anytime. However, I still prefer the homemade plain (original) "Tang Yuan" in Pandan flavour gingery sugar syrup :0

I have sweet tooth & enjoy the 'rubbery' texture
