all Cats like Fishes

A friend of mine who I met in my previous job where seen as a Mr. Nice Guy. He is honest, hardworking, helpful.... all the good values you can think of. I'm so happy to heard that he went out for a date on the Chinese Valentine Day (the 15th day of Chinese New Year). I'm delighted to know that he is attached as he used to tell us that he has no interest in girl & might ended up become a monk. Most of us reckon that he is too good to be single!!

I was shocked when my friend told me that he was actually going out with a girl when we were working together. In fact, they have been living together & his family knew about it. I wasn't angry with him for keeping the secret... I'm mad & dissapointed as he didn't handle his relationships well. In other word, he is playing behind one's back!! He got himself into a Love Triangle & his ex is 'severely injured'.

I'm not sure how genuine is the whole story as the guy who I know is too good to commit this kind of 'crime'. However, the friend who told me the story has never lie to me & has no reason to back stab him. Maybe my mum is right, all cats like fishes *an idiom in chinese

Hubby went Indonesia for a 3 days 2 nights business trip on Wednesday. I miss him so much & I was so touched when I found a piece of lovely note underneath my pillow on that night. So good that he is back but he will be away for 3 weeks in March:(

Darling, thank you so much for taking good care of me & shower me with love daily.

Singapore Chinatown

3 days before chinese new year (4th February 2008), hubby & I went to Chinatown after work. The main objective is to 'submerge' into the chinese new year ambient...Honestly, I never been to Malaysia Chinatown during chinese new year.
Wonder why Donald & Goofy are there?!
Even Winnie the pooh, Piglet, Tigger were there...
Today in history: we were in Mancheter Chinatown year 2005; Hull in year 2006 (no celebration as darling fell ill in bed); back to Malaysia with family in year 2007:)
Nice decoration in one of the shop
I bought some sweets for my cousins & students. I also joined in the crowds to get some mochi; stuffs as many as you can in a bad for $3, I got 60 of them.
Some pretty sweets from China
Taiwan famous mochi
We also bought some stuffs for our parents.
2 cans of sliced abalone for $49.90
+ free coffee machine with 1 year warranty

Sharing is Caring

I kicked start my Chinese New Year celebration in Sinagpore by having a Potluck session with my mentor class. The whole year 3 had an hour long party within the class on 30th January 2008. Students & teachers brought in some yummy & naughty food for sharing.
In order to set a good example, I, as the mentor prepared lots of fruits -- pineapple, pears, apples, madarine oranges, pecimons. I bought varieties of fruits the night before & only cut them in the morning cause I want to serve fresh but not oxidised fruits to my beloved children.

Sandwiches, paus, soft drinks, fruits, durian puffs etc etc Of course, lots & lots of junk food
We started the makan-makan session with 'lou sang'. It was the first time for my internationational students, majority of them love it!! I told my students that 'lou sang' started from Hong Kong (I thought). Later, after some research (via internet & family members) only I realise that it was from Singapore....sorry kids!!
modern way -- used forks instead of chopsticks
Although all the hard work, we all have fun:)

After all the mouth watering food, we spring cleaned a nearby housing estate (HDB Flats) on 5th February 2008. Our school officially adopted block 405 & 406 as majority of the tenants are senior citizens.
Students, are you ready for some dirty job?
Well prepared!!
Our class incharged of Block 405 level 10,11 & 12. All these floors are quite clean, thus, we manage to complete the task in about 30minutes. We then moved to other floors to help other classes.
Chin Wen, Zi Kai & Ivan
are you working?
Ada, Tricia & Bernadine
still remember vividely when these girls asked me to clear the fresh dog poo
Well Done!! You have done a great job:)
Hopefully the students understand the objectives of these 2 programs.
